ZIMBABWE – HARARE – MDC-T Silobela legislator Sululi Anadi has been sucked into Deputy Youth Minister Thamsanqa Mahlangu’s scandalous court case in which he stands accused of stealing ex-liberation war fighter and Zanu-PF stalwart Joseph Chinotimba’s cheap cellphone.
Anadi, was roped into the case during cross-examination of one of the accused, Patience Nyoni, who said the junior minister did not have a three-some in his hotel room with them but that she had put up in MP Anadi’s room.
Earlier reports suggested Mahlangu had a threesome and shagged both women in the Crowne Plaza hotel, where he smuggled the two women with the help of hotel security.
She said Mahlangu and Anadi were booked in separate but next door rooms in the prestigious hotel.
She also frantically tried to insinuate that Mahlangu and her alleged girlfriend Geraldine Phiri, who had travelled to Harare from Hwange for a meet with the deputy minister, was not the minister’s girlfriend but that he was in the process of courting her.
Mahlangu – the MDC-T national youth chairman — is jointly charged with his personal assistant Malvern Chadamoyo and two Hwange women, Phiri and Nyoni, for allegedly stealing Chinotimba’s phone. All of them deny the charges.
Chinotimba said his Nokia 2310 phone, valued at US$40, was stolen on July 17 when he attended Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara’s National Vision 2040 conference at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
He alleged that once his phone was stolen he reported the matter to one of the hotel managers and to MDC spokesman Nelson Chamisa.
Phiri said she did not know how the cellphone ended up in Mahlangu’s hands. Prosecutor Emmanuel Muchenje was told during cross-examination that they had travelled to Harare to seek for cash from the junior minister to establish the Hwange Human Rights Youth Forum. She also said she wanted the deputy minister to help them network with other youth groups in Harare.
Magistrate Kudakwashe Jarabini presided over the case, which continues tomorrow.

The courts at home have a lot of time to waste.All this carry-on over a cheap mobile…….get a grip!!!Surely there are more pressing legal matters eg imprisoned(Illegally) MDC activist???

When u are a Minister u supposse to lead by example, good behaviour. Madodfo eMDC anyanya kutinyadzisa. Please behave when in high positions, eg managers, fathers, priests etc, u c y they must go to school first. There must be a min educational requirement before u can become a minister.

Mugabe has a lot of sheet in his balls. He has the auducity to investigate and bring to court such sheet yet all the murders perpetrated by Zanu have never been investigated. This goes on to show his shallowness.

This goes to show how ZANUPF CAN GO SO LOW TO GET AT THEIR OPPONENTS. Mahlangu is a terrible threat to Mugabe regime. He carries an emblem of Mat. which reminds Bob of the much dreaded debt of GUKURAHUNDI. This is more of a circus.Zim has more pressing issues why shud the courts droop so low and worst time and tax payer’s money on such issues.This is humiliating and demonstrates shallowness while zanu pf criminals are walking free!!
