ZIMBABWE – HARARE – A Zanu-PF official who employed bizarre campaign tactics such as buying lingerie for women to attract voters, has been suspended from President Mugabe’s party.
Jimayi Muduvuri, a member of Zanu-PF central committee has been suspended by the Mashonaland West provincial coordinating committee, for violating party rules. The suspension has been endorsed by the party’s disciplinary committee, Zimgossip can report.
Muduvuri was suspended for going against nominations forwarded by the province at the recent Zanu-PF women’s congress held in Harare. It was the latest violation, piling on his already huge file of dismeanours.
Zanu-PF spokesman Nathan Shamuyarira has confirmed the suspension of Muduvuri.
This is not the first time Muduvuri has hogged the limelight.
In a bitter primary election between Muduvuri, Ishmael Mutema and Rudo Shamuyarira, Muduvuri bought bras, panties, petticoats and shoes in a bid to garner support from female voters. The campaign outraged many in the province, but his supporters insisted he was helping those in need.
He also has a militia dubbed the ‘Top 11′, which he uses to unleash an orgy of violence in the province.
Muduvuri and Sarah Mahoko were reportedly suspended for “bringing the name of the party into disrepute.”

What is new. During the struggle Cde Didymus Mutasa always brought huge amounts of knickers for the girls back in Mozambican camps whenever he went abroad. The only problem was sometimes he insisted on putting them on you himself. Kana usina bhurugwa ungaita seyi. Many of our leaders have always been pervets.

This guy is the most ruthless individual you’ll ever meet in your life. He has abused and exploited the name of ZANU (PF) all for his own personal gain. Every dog has his day! One needs to ask how did he acquire a bakery? Take over Scottford t/a Associated Textiles (one of the biggest properties in Kadoma)? Build on railway property? Gets people (irregardless of political affiliation) beaten but never gets arrested? Acquire 4 farms? The list is endless! Authorities need to ask the right questions to stop this guy!
