A married father of ten with two wives was last Saturday voted Zimbabwe’s Ugliest Man beating 35 other contestants at a ‘pageant’ held in the border town of Beitbridge.
After the disappointment of last year when he came second Elmas Moses says he worked ‘on his weaknesses’ to win the Ugliest Man title this year.
You would be forgiven for thinking Moses used juju (traditional medicine) to win the title given he is a traditional healer from Mberengwa.
The crowd certainly agreed he deserved the first prize of R1500 while his two runners up James James and Hilary Maunga pocketed R750 and R500 respectively.
The Ugliest Man pageant is the brainchild of Dominic Gwatirisa and is supported by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority as part of its strategies to market the country.
